The Opportunity
For Hiscox, a leading specialist insurer, KSB Technologies designed and implemented a robust SaaS solution for an Admin Portal, enabling the secure and confident linking of user data relationships to their external system, Merlin. This reusable digital capability added a new dimension to user authentication, strengthening the security and privacy of user data.
In addition to this, we also architected and developed a User Document Portal SaaS solution. This portal, with its seamless integration with several external APIs, revolutionized the way users view, amend their policies, and download documentation. Phase 2 of the project involved building a suite of Logic Apps to instantly update any identity data changed on Hiscox’s external system. The solution also empowers users to manually bulk upload changes to the identity data in CSV format.
KSB Technologies partnered with the end client’s Azure architect to shape the initial architecture. We subsequently implemented the design to create multiple greenfield serverless event-driven RESTful APIs following the Microservices design pattern. The technologies deployed for these implementations included C#, Azure Functions, .Net 6, Azure Service Bus, and Azure SQL.
KSB Technologies held complete responsibility for creating all the infrastructure code (IAC) using Terraform modules and ARM templates, as well as the build/release pipelines using Azure DevOps.
